NEW LONDON — The Green Lake Bluegrass band “Cabin Fever” concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Little Theatre in New London will now be a benefit for band member Bill Gossman. ATWATER — The Kandiyohi County Farmers Union will serve a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Atwater Community Center for its educational fund. Adult tickets are $8, ages 6-10 are $3, 5 and under eat free. Baked goods for sale and a silent auction.

OLIVIA — The rescheduled benefit for Briar Lippert, son of Jay and Heidi Lippert of Blomkest, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Max’s Grill in Olivia. Grandparents are Jeff and Kris Lippert of Spicer and Bruce and Kim Clement of Darfur. He was born July 1, 2019, with hypoplastic left heart syndrome — the left side of his heart was underdeveloped. He had his first eight-hour open heart surgery when he was six days old and has had many surgeries and procedures since and will need another major surgery around the age of 3. He will be on medication the rest of his life and currently takes nine per day. There will be a dinner and silent auction, Reed Nelson will perform and more. Donations may also be sent to Briar Lippert benefit, Home Town Bank, Olivia.
WILLMAR — The 14th annual Save Our Tails will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Willmar Conference Center to raise money for the Humane Society of Kandiyohi and Meeker Counties. Buffet dinner, silent auction and live auction. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door; $10 for ages 12 and under. NEW LONDON — New London Boy Scout Troop 228 will serve an all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Spaghetti, bread stick, lettuce salad and beverage. Tickets are $10, take-outs available for $8, baked goods for sale.
Blue Star Mothers
WILLMAR — Blue Star Mothers Willmar Chapter 1 meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Willmar Army Reserve. The parents of military meet for support and to pack boxes to send to deployed troops. They are collecting snacks, hygiene products, paperback novels and notes to be included in the packages. Donation boxes are available at Heritage Bank and the Willmar Army Reserve. WILLMAR – E-quip Africa in Willmar is accepting newer, smaller computers such as laptops and slim or compact desktops which are easier to ship. All computers need their original power supplies, cords, keyboards and mice and be in good working condition. They need to be Windows machines running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10.
