Three Sisters Furnishings: The New London business is holding a fundraising with a goal of $5,000 for organizations such as Family Promise, Safe Avenues, The Link, Toys For Tots, and others. According to Judy Imdieke, “We will raise the funds, and let the folks that specialize in this service match resources with those in need.” The business match of $2,500 is a one-for-one match. Willmar toy drive: Dec. 1-23, new unwrapped toys can be dropped off daily between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Willmar Community Center for the Kandiyohi County Toys for Tots.
Willmar Area Community Foundation
WILLMAR — The Willmar Area Community Foundation has opened its annual grant round to fund programs that focus on three different areas this year: addressing the achievement gap for youth, increasing community connections and welcoming diverse populations, and supporting productive aging.
Eligible organizations must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, school or government entity who serve residents of Kandiyohi County. For additional information and the online application, visit www.communitygiving.org/grants and scroll down to “WACF General Grants.” The deadline is Jan. 15.
This past year, the foundation invested $100,000 into the Willmar Area Response Fund which helps to support local relief efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic, including wide-scale initiatives to help meet critical basic needs as well as sustaining local organizations providing critical services through recovery.
