Cub Scout registration: The 2021-2022 Scouting program is recruiting new members in grades K-5 for Cub Scouts. Due to COVID-19, it will be done online. Go to www.joincubs.org. Iverson Tree Farm: Fall festival weekends through Oct. 30. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $5 per person, immediate family cap $20; 42652 County Road 7, Belview. Pick-your-own pumpkin patch, corn and cover crop maze and more.

Willmar Community Center
WILLMAR — The Willmar Community Center is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The patio area is set up, and all are welcome to enjoy at any time of the day. Farkle Fridays: Every Friday, 1 to 4 p.m. A classic dice game to try and reach 10,000 points first. Each player will have their own cup and dice.
Community puzzle exchange: Daily, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., drop off, pick up, or swap out a puzzle in our exchange program.
Woodshop: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, 6 to 9 p.m. Monday evenings. Advance registration required by calling 320-262-5288. Cost is $5 for a daily pass, $25 for a three-month membership, and $60 yearly.
Willmar Public Library
WILLMAR — The Willmar Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Full services are available except the meeting room. The WiFi can be accessed 24/7 from a parked car in the lot behind the library or in front of the building using your library card or through Overdrive.
HelpNow: Free online tutoring service for grades K-12. One-to-one live homework help from online tutors between 2 and 11 p.m. daily, English or Spanish. Help with math, science, English/language arts, social studies and reading assistance. App available for mobile.
Library Card Sign-Up Month: Sept. 1-30, anyone signing up for a new library card in September can enter the drawing to win a $25 gift card. Already have a library card? Complete a bingo (sheets available at www.willmarpubliclibrary.org or at the library) and return by Sept. 30 to enter.
Button Art Contest: Sept. 1-30, online or in person, calling all artists, doodlers, and visual creators. We want your help designing button art. Winning entries will be used to make 1.25-inch pinback buttons for anyone interested to pick up at the Willmar Public Library. Maximum of five entries per person. Interactive movie kit: The interactive movie kits include a script along with props for up to six participants. Limit of one per week per household. Reserve on the library website.
Book Box: Register for a book box on the library website, check out a copy of the book, open the items as you reach specific chapters in the book, all ages.
Teen lit loot: Sign up and you will receive a library book based on your interests and a bag of goodies to go with it. One per month and will need to re-register each month.
Preschoolers storytime: Every Tuesday, 10 a.m. ages 3-6; stories, songs, rhymes, and lots of fun; no registration required.
Little people storytime: Every Wednesday, 10 a.m., ages 0-3; stories, songs, and playtime for littles; no registration required.
Crafts & Coloring: Sept. 22, 2 p.m., upstairs at the library. Bring any crafts or coloring you are working on or use the provided supplies for coloring and more.
Breakout game, The Oregon Trail: Sept. 23, 4 p.m., ages 8-12. In this escape room-style game, unlock the codes and decode the clues to discover if you have what it takes to cross the Oregon Trail. Register in advance online or at the library.
Teen Book Club: Sept. 24, 4 p.m., discussion of September’s book, no registration necessary.
Nerf night: Sept. 24, 5:30 p.m. Bring your friends for a fun night of Nerf games; bring your own unmodified Rival blaster or reserve a library blaster on the website. Blaster rounds provided by the library. This is an after-hours event and the doors will lock at 5:30 p.m. For ages 16 and up. Deadline has passed for signed permission forms for those ages 16-17. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle if you would like.
Bookworms Book Club: Sept. 28, 4 p.m. grades 3-5. September’s book is the first book in the “Amulet” graphic novel series.
Bounce Back Project Book Club: Sept. 28, 6:30 p.m. Bounce Back Project is focused on promoting health through happiness. Join this new book club to discuss “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.
