WILLMAR — There will be a free food distribution Nov. 5 in Willmar for households in need of assistance because of the pandemic. The Kandiyohi County Food Shelf will host it from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in the Willmar Civic Center parking lot.

The food shelf will run the COVID Food Assistance Program event in the same way as in the past. Volunteers will load pre-packed boxes of meat, dairy and produce into each vehicle. Participants should make room for the boxes in the vehicle before attending.

When receiving the boxes of food, participants will need to tell the volunteers how many adults, kids and seniors are in their household.

Animals should not be in the car when at the event.
