Lions Diabetes Foundation

WILLMAR — The third annual Chad Norsten Memorial Pool Tournament was held Jan. 7 at the Willmar Veterans of Foreign Wars. The event involved 32 pool players, a silent auction, meat raffle and music by Jukebox Live. The event raised more than $4,500 for the Minnesota Lions Diabetes Foundation, which supports research at the University of Minnesota to find a cure for diabetes. Norsten died in 2019 from complications of diabetes and was an avid pool player. Organizers are planning for the next tournament on Jan. 6, 2024.
