Murphy family

WILLMAR — A carnival and silent auction for the Daren and Whitney Murphy family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 27 at Rice Park in Willmar. The Murphys completed state-approved paperwork to adopt infants in the U.S. and were saving to pay for an adoption in the future. An expectant mother in Pennsylvania saw their story and chose them. Because it is an out-of-state adoption, the costs have increased and time is short. There will be family friendly games, face painting, splash pad and cotton candy and popcorn for a freewill donation. An online fundraiser can be found at gofundme.com/f/help-them-bring-baby-home .
