Clara City Lions

CLARA CITY — The Clara City Lions Club will be having a brats stand from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Almich's Market in Clara City. Menu may vary between hamburgers, brats and hotdogs, with chips and water. Freewill donation.

Atwater Area Help for Seniors

ATWATER — A grilled pork chop/hamburger dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Atwater Centennial Park Shelter to benefit Atwater Area Help for Seniors. Freewill donation for meal that also includes potato salad, coleslaw and a homemade cookie. Takeouts available. Due to limited parking, shuttle service for seniors offered every 15 minutes from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Bethlehem Church parking lot. In case of bad weather, event will be moved to Atwater Community Center.

MNyou Youth Garden

WILLMAR — MNyou Youth Garden, which trains youth in agriculture and donates half of the vegetables grown in a community-supported agriculture initiative, had storm damage in May at its vegetable farm just north of Willmar and is fundraising to replace hoophouses. Through a Willmar Area Community Foundation donor-advised fund, MNyou is receiving a match grant of $12,500 for every dollar donated. Donations may be made at givemn.org/story/Mnyourebuild .
