GRANITE FALLS -- Eddie Armando Ojer Barrios, 10, of Montevideo, drowned, according to a recently released Hennepin County Medical Examiner's report.
The Montevideo youth had been pulled April 3 from about 7 feet of water in a pool at the Kilowatt Community Center in Granite Falls. He was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center.
He died April 4 at the medical facility.
His death was determined to be an accidental drowning, according to the report Granite Falls Police Chief Russ Blue said he received from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. The report was very brief and limited to describing the cause of death as an accidental drowning, Blue said.
The chief said the report concludes his department's investigation into the death.
