WILLMAR — The Willmar Rotary Club annually gives dictionaries to all third-graders at the five area elementary schools: Community Christian, Kennedy, Lakeland and Roosevelt in Willmar and New London-Spicer.

The Willmar Rotary Club has been doing this project for 14 years, and has donated close to 7,000 books to students over that time. This is part of a strategic plan to address child literacy in Kandiyohi County.

Rotary also does the Strive mentoring program and reads with third-graders during the school year.
