WILLMAR - From zombies to pumpkins, community members are getting festive for the Halloween season. Houses in Willmar are adorned with spooky decorations, children are painting their best pumpkins and a haunted house is ready for community members to visit their "Walking Dead" show.

So put on your best costume, and prepare to scare!

Halloween festivities

Haunted House: today and Wednesday, 6 to 10 p.m., Kandiyohi County Fairgrounds, Willmar; admission $12, $2 off with Food Shelf donation.

Halloween Lane: today through Nov. 4, 6 to 10:30 p.m., Prairies Edge Casino Resort, drive through a variety of eerie-themed displays in the first lane of the RV Park.

Teen Halloween Lock-in Spooktacular: today, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Willmar Public Library, must be 13 or older, permission forms required.

Halloween party: today, New London Legion; music by Custom Made; costume contest.

Halloween party: today, Willmar VFW, costume contest at 10 p.m., music by Strange Daze.

Halloween party: today, Willmar Eagles, music by Gig Noonan.

Trunk or Treat: Sunday, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Calvary Lutheran Church, Willmar.

Trunk or Treat: Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., United Methodist Church, Willmar.

Trunk or Treat: Sunday, 4 to 6 p.m., Redeemer Lutheran Church, Willmar.

Spooks Space: Sunday, 4 p.m.; Tuesday-Wednesday, 7 p.m., Southwest Minnesota State University Planetarium, Marshall, the show looks at monsters in space, exploring the stars, black holes, the moon and more; $5 at the door.

Haunted House and Movie: Tuesday, 7 p.m. Little Theatre, New London; small groups will tour the haunted house in the basement while the movie "The House on the Haunted Hill" is playing; $5 per person.

Highland Apartments: Wednesday, 4 to 6:30 p.m., trick-or-treating for children in the lobby, use door on Litchfield Avenue S.E. in Willmar.

Haunted House and Movie: Wednesday, 5 p.m. Little Theatre, New London; small groups will tour the haunted house in the basement while Halloween related short films and movie clips are played, suitable for all ages, mild spookies; $3 per person.

Lakeview High Rise apartments: Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m., trick-or-treating for children, enter main door on Seventh Street North in Willmar.

Trunk or Treat: Wednesday, 6 to 7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, Willmar; in the church parking lot, games and face painting.

Haunted House and Movie: Wednesday, 7 p.m. Little Theatre, New London; small groups will tour the haunted house in the basement while the movie "Night of the Living Dead" is playing; $5 per person.
