Delford 'Delly' Teske Oct. 5, 1916 - Aug. 25, 2009

APPLETON -- Delford "Delly" Palmer Teske, 92, of Battle Lake, formerly of Appleton, died Tuesday in Battle Lake.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Appleton City Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel of Appleton.

He was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Shible Township, Swift County, to Ferdinand and Sophie (Schreck) Teske. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1934.

He served with the Army from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1946.

He married Viola Bahl on Sept. 23, 1948. He operated Teske's Recreation for several years, then delivered milk for Appleton Creamery and worked in the produce department at Super Value store until his retirement. He was a member of VFW Post No. 4955 and American Legion Post No. 72 of Appleton.

He is survived by four sons: Larry (and Marsha) Teske of Honolulu, Jerome Teske of Battle Lake, Daryle (and Vicki) Teske of Moorhead and Danny Teske of Fergus Falls; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2004 and three brothers.
