WILLMAR -- The PFF organization will host a community mural painting activity at each of the four upcoming Rockin’ Robbins events.
The organization will have a painting tent set up -- near the climbing wall -- from 5 to 7 p.m. during the evening of all the concerts at Robbins Island in Willmar and invites the public to just walk up and help paint a series of “Visibility” murals alongside them. Local artist Maria Novak will help facilitate the painting.
The free outdoor concert series on successive Tuesdays starting July 16 is sponsored by the Willmar Rotary Club to raise money for Robbins Island improvements.
Anyone is welcome and no skills or experience are required to take part.
PFF is a nonprofit organization that provides care for adults with intellectual disabilities through guardianship, conservatorship and residential services. It recently completed a community-engaged, ability-focused mural project that is now mounted permanently on the front of the office in Willmar.
Once the Rockin' Robbins murals have been painted, they will be installed around the community of Willmar.
