FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. -- The Minnesota State Fair broke an attendance record Thursday, Aug. 23.
The Fair saw 122,695 visitors come through the gates — the most ever for the first day of the fair. The previous record was 119,145 in 2010. Last year, 117,877 came through the gates on the first day.
While it might have felt crowded to some, attendance was far from the all-time daily record — 260,374 on the second Saturday in 2016.
