Fire poster content winners

The Willmar Fire Department sponsored a poster contest for community fifth grade students. The theme for this year's Willmar Fire Department contest was "Don't Wait, Check the Date". The winners were presented with gift cards for all their hard work.

Kennedy Elementary students Trevor Blaschko and Nolan Neuman from Mrs. Myer's class received first and third places for their entries, while second place was awarded to Myah Johnson from Mrs. Peele's class at Community Christian School.

Trevor Blaschko's poster was submitted to the State of Minnesota for consideration of a state award as well. Congratulations to our winners and great job to all our 5th grade students in making this year's contest the best yet.
