The Meeker County Sheriff's Office, along with first responders, responded to a house fire in Darwin Township over the early morning hours Tuesday. No injuries were reported, but the house sustained severe damage.
The sheriff’s office was made aware that AT&T cell service is currently down in Meeker County, according to a news release. Residents with AT&T cell phones should use landlines, other cell carriers or Wi-Fi calling to call 9-1-1.

According to a news release from the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, a standoff was still underway as of noon Tuesday, south of Dassel, with a barricaded subject who was reported to have been threatening family members Monday evening. Authorities have been trying to negotiate with him.
A 20-year-old Glencoe man was arrested for terroristic threats after Meeker County sheriff's deputies responded to reports Sunday of vehicles doing burnouts in Greenleaf Township. There they learned of a confrontation when a man allegedly flashed a gun.
