Despite the state of Minnesota recognizing Christina Lusk as a woman, the state corrections department placed her in a men’s prison, exposing her to discrimination and harassment, according to a lawsuit filed this week by a Minnesota gender equity nonprofit.

The state wants a licensed artist with at least three years of experience and a “strong, well-rounded portfolio" to help start a legal prison body art program.
The City of Willmar will be purchasing two new boat launch docks for Willmar Lake and Foot Lake from MINNCOR Industries. The docks will be built by incarcerated people in correctional facilities as a way to teach job-training skills.
