The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a newly released draft plan that outlines the transportation challenges and possible ways to address them.
The U.S. Bicycle Route System is a network of numbered cross-country routes. There are over 18,000 miles of such routes in 31 states. The bike routes use existing paths separate from car and truck traffic, as well as roads, preferably ones with bicycle lanes or wide shoulders.
If you place your political signs or any others along a road in Minnesota, they will be removed. It's against the law to place signs in the right of way along roads.
The Legislature failed to approve a transportation bill this session, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation is still assessing what the impact will be in terms of accessing federal dollars and inflationary losses for delaying projects.
