Magen Jansen of Bird Island and Darryl Scarborough of Denver are engaged to be married July 23 at the Church of St. Mary in Bird Island.
Jansen is the daughter of Brad and Naomi Jansen of Bird Island.
She is a 2003 graduate of BOLD High School in Olivia and a 2009 graduate of Minnesota School of Business and of Northwestern Health Sciences University. She is pursuing a nursing degree from Minnesota State University in Moorhead and is employed by Elements for Women in Fargo, N.D.
Scarborough is the son of Cheri Smith and Coleman Harrison of Denver.
He is a graduate of Aurora Central High School in Aurora, Colo., a 2005 graduate of Minnesota State University in Moorhead and is a graduate student in sociology at North Dakota State University in Fargo. He is a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard and is employed by the city of Moorhead.
