NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of
Kandiyohi County, Minnesota at the office of the County Administrator, Health and Human Services Building, Suite
2020, 2200 23rd St NE, Willmar, MN 56201, until 10:00 A.M. the 5th day of May, 2020, at which time bids will be
opened and publicly read.
Project SAP 034-605-039, Reconstruction of CSAH 5 from 7th Avenue NW to CSAH 24.
Combined estimated quantities of work are: Full Depth Reclamation – 3686 SQYD, Excavation-Common(P) – 954
CUYD, Common Embankment (CV)(P) – 1225 CUYD, Aggregate Base Class 5 – 687 TON, Bituminous Mixture –
1691 TON, 24” RC Pipe Culvert – 16 LIN FT, Traffic Control – 1 LS, Erosion Control Blanket – 333 SQ YD, Silt
Fence – 581 LIN FT, Seeding – 1.3 ACRE, Hydraulic Matrix Type Bonded Fiber Matrix – 4666 LB, and other
construction items.

Minimum wage rates to be paid by the contractor have been predetermined. Read carefully the wage scales
contained in the Special Provisions, as they affect this project.
Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must comply with the Special Equal Employment Opportunity
Provisions, contained in the proposal.
Electronic bids and fax bids will not be accepted.
A bid bond, cashiers check or certified check made payable to the Treasurer of Kandiyohi County in the amount of
five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany all bids.
The County Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or technicalities
therein and to award the contract in the best interest of the County.
