MONDAY, JANUARY 17, 2022, LAST DAY TO BUY DOG AND CAT LICENSES
WILLMAR DOG AND CAT OWNERS are reminded that only a few days remain before the deadline for buying Dog and Cat Licenses. Monday, January 17, 2022, is the last day to purchase dog or cat licenses without a 50% penalty. Failure to license a dog or cat is a misdemeanor punishable up to 90 days in jail and / or a $1000.00 fine. Before a license may be issued, the City requires satisfactory evidence be produced by the owner or keeper of the dog(s) or cat(s) to show that the animal for which a license is sought has been vaccinated for rabies within three (3) years.
The current license fees are:
$4.00 Neutered male dog or cat
Spayed female dog or cat
$7.00 Unneutered male dog or cat
Unspayed female dog or cat
