WILLMAR
ORDINANCE NO. 1443
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WILLMAR, MINNESOTA AMENDING CHAPTER 3, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, ARTICLE III, SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR FOR ON-PREMISES CONSUMPTION, DIVISION 2, LICENSE, SECTION 3-137, BREWER TAPROOM LICENSES, AND ADOPTING A NEW SECTION 3-138, BREW PUB LICENSES
Summary: Ordinance No. 1443 amends the City’s liquor licensing regulations for brewer taprooms and establishes a new category of licenses for brew pubs.
This Ordinance makes minor amendments to City Code Sec. 3-137, establishing licenses for brewer taprooms, to update statutory references that had changed since this section was originally enacted, and incorporates a statutory prohibition against issuance of a taproom license to any brewer’s license holders who own an interest in a brew pub.
This Ordinance further enacts a new City Code Sec. 3-138, establishing a new category of liquor licenses and accompanying regulations for brew pubs, which permit the on-sale of malt liquor for a restaurant operated on a brewer’s premises of manufacture. The brew pub regulations follow the requirements of Minn. Stat. § 340A.24.
