Sealed Bid Proposals for the Kandiyohi County Jail Addition and Remodel work to be provided in accordance with the construction contract documents as prepared by Klein McCarthy Architects will be received in the office of Kandiyohi County Administrator office, 2200 23rd Street NE, Suite 2020, Willmar MN 56201, until the date and time stated above, at which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid opening will be in the board room located on the second level of the Health and Human Services Building; 2200 23rd Street NE, Willmar MN 56201.

Contract Documents for this construction work may be examined at: Franz Reprographics Public Plan Room; Minnesota Builders Exchanges; and at Klein McCarthy Architect's office at 6465 Wayzata Boulevard, St. Louis Park MN 55426.

You may view and order bid documents by going to the Franz Reprographics web site at www.franzrepro.com , and selecting the Franz Public Plan Room. Please login with your email address and password or Register if this is your first time in the Plan Room. Select the project from the list of public projects. Once you have selected the project, please review the Bid Details for information on ordering documents.

The Work will be accomplished under a single Prime Contract to include general, mechanical and electrical construction.

A building tour may be scheduled with Matt Akerson, Jail Administrator. He can be reached via email at Matt.Akerson@kcmn.us.

A virtual pre bid conference for all interested Contractors and Subcontractors will be conducted on Tuesday, June 30th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend. All attendees must pre-register for the meeting by visiting https://www.kcmn.us/bids .

Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or corporate surety bond in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the base bid, as bid security.

If awarded a contract, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish both Performance and Payment Bonds. Such bonds shall be the latest edition of the AIA Document A312/CM, in the amount equal to 100% payment.

Kandiyohi County reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding.
