STATE OF MINNESOTA MIDDLE FORK CROW RIVER WATERSHED DISTRICT The Matter of the 2022 Meeker County Ditch 47 Restoration Project (Project #22-01) NOTICE OF FINAL HEARING A final hearing for consideration of the Meeker County Ditch 47, also known as the Middle Fork Crow River, Restoration Project (Project #22-01), will be held at the Middle Fork Crow River Watershed District Office 189 County Road 8 NE Spicer, MN, on Wednesday, June 8, at 6:00PM. The proposed project implements prioritized projects along the river, including slope stabilization and protection, stream barbs to focus water flow, vegetated riprap projects, canopy thinning and tree removal. The proposed project will reduce sediment and pollutants and improve water quality in the Middle Fork Crow River. The estimated cost of the project is $846,500. The project will be paid for by a combination of watershed-based implementation funding from the State of Minnesota and ad valorem taxes. All parties interested in the proposed project are encouraged to attend and provide comments at the hearing.
