Cherrish Holland and Mark Peterson Support NLS Transgender Policy
Cherrish Holland (at a 5/9/16 school board meeting) and Mark Peterson (on his website) have expressed support for the NL-S School Board to adopt a transgender policy.
Is this a good idea?
A school district in Georgia adopted a transgender policy allowing students access to restrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identity. That school district is now being investigated by the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights in the case of the sexual assault of a five year old girl in the girls restroom by a five year old boy who claimed to be "gender fluid."
Does our community want to expose our young girls to the possibility of a traumatic experience such as was reported by the young girl in Georgia?
It is clear that adopting a transgender policy would be a huge mistake, endangering the bodily privacy and the emotional and physical safety of our students.

Voters should not elect Cherrish Holland and Mark Peterson to the NLS School Board because of their failure to comprehend the privacy and safety risks that could harm students due to the adoption of a transgender policy.
