'Alice in Wonderland' opens tonight at The Barn

The Hayloft Players present Disney's "Alice In Wonderland, Jr." at 7 p.m. today and Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Barn Theatre, 321 Fourth St. S.W. in downtown Willmar.

The Hayloft Players present Disney's "Alice In Wonderland, Jr." at 7 p.m. today and Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Barn Theatre, 321 Fourth St. S.W. in downtown Willmar.

One of the most famous children's books, Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" has been adapted for the stage by David Simpatico. The Hayloft Players invite you to "enjoy the fascinating characters as you join Alice in her daydreams and encounters with the many strange creatures of Wonderland."

The Cheshire Cat is played by Emily Skalla with Chloe Halvorson as Mathilda and Sydney Lanning as Alice.

The White Rabbit is played by William Madsen. Joseph Fernandez is the Doorknob, Ben Lanning is Dodo Bird and Joseph Fernandez and Gabriel Fernandez are the Rock Lobsters.

Tweedle Dum is played by Carly Hulstein with Alice Lindgren playing Tweedle Dee.

Portraying the flowers are Emily Malmgren as the Rose, Rachel Lanning as the Petunia, Ava Lindgren as the Lily, Melaney Madsen as the Violet and Kayla Fernandez as the Daisy.

Ingrid Lindgren is the Caterpillar, Ben Lanning is the Mad Hatter and Magen Vlaminck is the March Hare.

The Royal Cardsmen are played by Carly Huslstein, Alice Lindgren, Emily Skalla, Chloe Halvorson and Joseph Fernandez.

Laura Miller is the Queen of Hearts and Gabriel Fernandez is the King of Hearts.

The play is directed by Nicole Dyson and the pianist is Sara Miller.

The stage manager is Brady Dyson and Carol Olson is the technical adviser.

Costumes are by Christine Lindgren, Sarah Fernandez and Mihee Malmgren.

Tim Miller is in charge of props. The set was done by the cast and parents.
