DAWSON - The Artaria String Quartet of St. Paul will return to Dawson next week for its third and final visit in a residency project with the Dawson-Boyd High School Orchestra Department.
This visit will culminate with a public concert for the community at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Auditorium in Dawson. The concert will feature short selections by student string quartets, an adult string ensemble and the Artaria String Quartet.
These residency activities are all part of the Arts Learning grant awarded to Artaria String Quartet by the Minnesota State Arts Board - a grant in which the quartet’s goal is to “invigorate the chamber music environment of the Dawson-Boyd community, a place that values and nurtures the arts, by engaging residents of all ages in participatory activities.”
A nominal admission will be charged at the door.
