Precious metal clay: Jan. 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; instructor Kim Bakken-Parr; adults and teens, beginners and above; learn the basics of working with precious metal clay and how easy it is to design and create beautiful silver earrings, pendants, charms and even how to set stones; tuition $105, supplies $55; registration deadline Dec. 21.
PMC Nature’s Beauty: Jan. 5, 9 a.m.to 4 p.m.; instructor Kim Bakken-Parr; adults and teens, beginners and above; coat leaves, twigs, seed pods, etc. with silver paste, which will be dried and kiln-fired, to a piece that is 99.9 percent silver; tuition $105, supplies $55; registration deadline Dec. 21.
Norwegian knife making, beginning: Jan. 17-19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday; instructor Jon Roisen; make a “tollekniv,” a Norwegian work knife and leather sheath; tuition $145, supplies $95; registration deadline Jan. 4.
Norwegian knife making, five-day workshop: Jan. 23-27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; instructor Jon Roisen; beginner to experienced; hone your skills using more advanced techniques, make either a Telemark-style knife or a knife consisting of multiple traditional materials used in Nordic blades; tuition $230, supplies $120; registration deadline Jan. 11.
