NEW LONDON -- The Peer None Players present the world premiere of "I Love Minnesota" at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Little Theatre in New London.
The original play was written exclusively for Peer None Players by local theater artists Tim Miller of Prinsburg and Christopher McAninch of Kandiyohi.
The comedy brings to the stage themes "central to life in central Minnesota" such as: love in a fish house and the mystique of hotdish. Audiences will recognize friends, family and neighbors in the large cast of characters including: the town gossip at the grocery store, the college boyfriend from Iowa, twin sisters in assisted living and the neighbor with the seed cap collection.
The cast includes Abigail Duly, Deb Nelson, Charles Oakes and Bryan Olson from the nonprofit Peer None Players.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for ages 17 and under, with a "pay what you can" for the Sunday matinee and a Valentine special on Saturday. To order tickets call 320-295-3524. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
