WILLMAR - Raymond artist Jon Leuze’s “Broken State” won the People’s Choice award in the recent Willmar Area Arts Council invitational art exhibit.
The theme for the exhibit was “Fragile” and ran in conjunction with The Barn Theatre’s production of “The Glass Menagerie.”
There were 28 works by 17 artists in the show.
The Barn Theatre Art Gallery (located on the mezzanine level of the front lobby) is home to an art exhibit tied to the theme of ongoing productions at The Barn. Visitors are invited to vote on their favorite piece.
Janet Olney, arts director, said the work received a “record number of votes” in perhaps the strongest field in an exhibit yet associated with a Barn production. The early summer play is “Fiddler on the Roof” with the art theme “Tradition.”
