Hope Presbyterian

WILLMAR — “Light of the World,” an ecumenical evening prayer, will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Hope Presbyterian Church, rural Spicer. It is a musical worship service of sung, spoken and silent prayer centered around the theme “Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.” Everyone is welcome to participate in the 30-minute service that will be followed with a time of fellowship. Six local churches — Hope Presbyterian in Spicer; Tripolis Lutheran and Ebenezer Lutheran in Kandiyohi; and Bethel Lutheran, First Presbyterian and Eagle Lake Lutheran in Willmar — are sponsoring the service for the purpose of promoting unity, healing divisions, and renewing peace.

Litchfield Area Christian Women

LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Area Christian Women will have a “Winter Wonderland” coffee and rolls at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Lisa Cassman, of Brainerd, presents “Cover Up with Warm Reflections, New You — New Life” about how we and our society determine self-worth and how to accept and enjoy who you are. Tickets are $5. East Norway Lake Lutheran

NEW LONDON — A benefit auction will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at East Norway Lake Lutheran Church, west of New London. Donations include an antique clock collection, Edison cylinder, phono with horn, antiques, quilts, glassware, gift baskets, craft items, books, baked goods and more. Doors open 8 a.m. Lunch available.
