Free shuttle bus to Willmar farmers markets on Saturday

WILLMAR — There will be a free shuttle bus to three Willmar farmers market locations on Sept. 10 and Sept. 24.

The shuttle will run from 8 a.m. to noon.

A CCT bus will pick up from the following locations: the High Rise-Lakeland Apartments, Highland Apartments, Becker Bus Station, Fifth Street Southwest Bus Stop, Dana Heights Bus Stop and Cardinal Apartments.

Patrons can shop and socialize at each of the following farmers market locations: the Robbins Island market, the Highway 12 market in the parking lot near American Door Works and the market in the Uptown Mall parking lot near Aldi's.

Funding is provided by Vision 2040 Health and Wellness Committee.

Becker Market

WILLMAR — Becker Market offers several ways to buy locally grown food. The store is part of Fabulous Finds, 414 Becker Ave. S.W., downtown Willmar, and is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It participates with nine other markets through Renewing The Countryside to aggregate farmers market products.

Summer season online: Customers may purchase a variety of local foods online at openfoodnetwork.net/becker-market/shop , and pick up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Thursdays. Delivery is available in Willmar. The open order cycle begins at 8 a.m. Friday and closes at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
