WILLMAR — Residents of Willmar have only this week remaining to complete their fall yard cleanup if they plan to use the city's brush site.

The brush site will close for the season Nov. 23.

The brush site accepts leaves, grass clippings and garden clippings at the compost facility as well as brush and branches. No garbage, plastic or lumber is allowed.

The site is located just off Kandiyohi County Road 116, near the Willmar Wastewater treatment plant and the Willmar Trap Range. Due to the Willmar Wye construction, those wanting to use the brush site will need to follow the detour of state Highway 40. A map of the detour can be found on the city's website under the brush site link.

For those who don't live in Willmar, or can't get to the brush site before it closes, the Kandiyohi County Landfill does accept brush and leaves at no cost.

For more information, call the Willmar Public Works Office at 320-235-4252.
