Dakota is an 8-month-old Akita/German Shepherd puppy who is lovable, friendly and loves belly rubs. Dakota is not interested in toys but is very interested in the love you can give her. She will need some good socialization to learn how to interact positively with other dogs.
Dakota does well with cats and kids and walks nicely on a leash. She has some fears about loud noises and being alone but only tries to hide with an occasional bark.
Stop in and meet Dakota and the many other adoptable pets at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter, 250 28th St. S.W., Willmar. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
