ALBERT LEA, Minn. (AP) -- One of two women charged in the abuse of residents at an Albert Lea nursing home has agreed to a plea deal.
The Albert Lea Tribune reports that Brianna Broitzman, 21, entered Alford pleas in Freeborn County District Court today to three counts of disorderly conduct. The counts are gross misdemeanors.
An Alford plea acknowledges the prosecution has enough evidence to convict.
Broitzman was among several nursing aides accused of mistreating residents at the Good Samaritan Society in 2008 by groping, poking and taunting them.
