11:20 a.m. Update: Building fire reported in downtown Willmar

Fire and rescue personnel responded to a fire shortly after 10 a.m. Friday in a downtown Willmar building.

Smoke could be viewed coming out of the upstairs apartment area of 402 Litchfield Avenue Southwest.

The 400 block of Litchfield Avenue has been blocked off and one block northward toward the Kandiyohi County Building.

One person has been removed from the scene by an ambulance.

Fire departments from Willmar, Spicer, Pennock, Kandiyohi and Benson responded to the scene.
