PENNOCK -- Alyssa M. Pollock, 15, of Benson, was killed Tuesday evening in a one-vehicle rollover crash around 9 p.m. Tuesday along U.S. Highway 12 about a mile west of County Road 116.
The driver of the vehicle, Courtnee A. Ascheman, 16, of Benson, was treated and released from Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar. Neither of the girls was wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle, a 1995 Chevy Suburban, was westbound on Highway 12, lost control and rolled. A helicopter was dispatched to the scene, but it was unclear if anyone was transported by air. Traffic was blocked on the highway for a period of time.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
