Worst of wind chills on Friday forecast for west central Minn.

WILLMAR -- The deep freeze arrived today as promised, and the worst of the wind chills forecast over the next two days will occur right here in west central Minnesota.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory starting at 6 p.m. today and continuing until noon Saturday. The advisory warns that wind chill readings will range from 25 below to 35 below. The coldest conditions will be found over west central Minnesota on Friday night when wind chills will approach 35 below, the advisory states.

The current temperature at the airport in Willmar is 7 degrees, 11 below wind chill, according to the National Weather Service.
