ATWATER -- Finding a new home for the library, senior nutrition site and city offices were cited as the main items on the "to do" list for Atwater Mayor Bruce Baker. Baker outlined his goals during the council's meeting on Wednesday.
The library is located in a building that the city intends to raze because of its poor structural condition.
The nutrition site is located in the same building.
Baker also said the city offices should either be renovated or moved.
Atwater voters defeated a proposal last year to build a city complex to house the city offices, library and Police Department. The council may consider a similar proposal again. The council denied a request from Toby Geise, owner of McPete's II Sports Bar and Lanes, to be granted a license to serve liquor "set-ups" on Sunday.

Last month the council was informed that Geise had been serving set-ups -- selling non-alcoholic beverages to be mixed with patrons' own alcohol -- without a proper permit.
Councilmen Dale Tagtow, Shane Hagstrom and James Olson voted against the request.
Councilman Scott Bjornson voted in favor of it.
In a brief interview Thursday, Tagtow said he wanted to get public input on the issue. He said one councilman thought the issue should be voted on by residents.
Giese was told to fill out the proper forms and come to the next council meeting for a final decision.
In other action the council:
- Reviewed a request from Duffy Engineering & Associates Inc. to vacate sections of a half-dozen streets and alleys associated with a proposed 90-unit rental development. The company was asked to attend the next meeting to discuss different layout options for the buildings.
- Learned the chassis for the Atwater Fire Department's new fire truck is being outfitted and should be done by June, and that the existing fire truck and ambulance will be sold once the new vehicles are obtained.

- Was informed that Grove City was terminating its summer recreation program and that children from that community may be participating in Atwater's programs. The Grove City Council will be asked if they want to participate financially, as area townships do, to help subsidize the program.
- Was informed that aerators are operating on Tad and Upper Lakes, creating large areas of open water.
