Chris Braaten of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, Jon Hoffmann of Minnewaska Area and Tyler Steen of MACCRAY were named to the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association all-state teams, released Tuesday.
Braaten, a third baseman/pitcher, was named to the Class A team. He led the Fighting Saints with a .547 batting average and hit three home runs. He is a senior this year.
Hoffmann, a pitcher/first baseman, was named to the Class AA team. He posted a 6-1 record with a 0.63 ERA, allowing 39 hits in 56 innings pitched for the Lakers. He graduated last spring.
Steen, a catcher, was also named to the Class AA team. He led MACCRAY with a .482 average with four home runs. He set a school record with 40 hits in 2007. He graduated last spring.
