Updated: Olivia crash causes injuries

Updated 11 a.m. Wednesday OLIVIA — Three were injured in an accident Monday afternoon west of Olivia. 

Dee A. Lothert, 59, of Renville was reportedly traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 71 when her Dodge Ram pickup truck crossed the center line, struck a Toyota Sienna traveling eastbound, rolled over and came to rest on its roof, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Sienna was driven by Samoane G. Wagner, 25, of Stewart.

Wagner and her passenger, Arland C. Johnson, 81, of Hector, were transported to Renville County Hospital for what were initally described as minor injuries by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Johnson was later transported to North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis, where he was listed in fair condition as of Wednesday morning, hospital spokesperson Lesa Bader said.  

Lothert was reportedly unconscious after the crash and transported to Renville County Hospital for serious injuries. A family member reports she has been transferred to North Memorial Hospital. Lothert's condition was unknown as of Wednesday morning. 

The State Patrol's inital report had inaccurate information regarding the vehicles involved and the medical conditions of those involved in the accident.  

Responding to the accident were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia Police Department, North Memorial Ambulance, Olivia Ambulance and Olivia Fire and Rescue.
