A car and semi-truck were involved in an accident on U.S. Highway 12 west of Atwater at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Traffic was interrupted for a period of time as emergency response personnel responded to the scene which involved an anhydrous ammonia tank pulled by a semi. The tank was empty.
