Spicer woman injured in crash

SPICER — A 30-year-old Spicer woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday night after the truck she was driving left the road and rolled in a lightly wooded field west of Spicer.

The woman, who was not identified in a press release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office, was extricated from 2001 Ford Ranger by the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad and taken to Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

She was wearing a seatbelt, according to the sheriff's department.

The accident was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 5400 block of 97th Avenue Northwest. The vehicle was going west on 97th Avenue before it left the road and rolled.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Spicer Fire Department, Spicer First Responders, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad and Willmar Ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation, according to Sheriff Dan Hartog.
