Paynesville man hurt in crash

GROVE CITY — The driver of a Dodge Caravan was injured early Monday morning when the vehicle went off state Highway 4 north of Grove City, striking a mailbox and driveway approach before coming to rest in the east ditch.

According to the State Patrol, Robert Eugene Lade, 46, of Paynesville, was treated at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield for non-life-threatening injuries. The initial report indicates alcohol was a factor in the crash reported at 5:47 a.m. Monday.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office also responded.

Spicer woman hurt in collision with deer

NEW LONDON — A Spicer woman was injured early Monday morning when her vehicle struck a deer.

The accident happened at around 5:24 a.m. on state Highway 23 near the Roseville Road in northern Kandiyohi County.

According to the State Patrol, Tiffany Jane Rittgers, 38, was going west on Highway 23 when a deer ran across the road and collided with her vehicle.

She was taken to the Paynesville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene of the crash.


WILLMAR — Wheel rims for a motor vehicle were reported stolen Monday from a property on the 1800 block of County Road 27 Northwest.

Plow strikes car

PENNOCK — A plow struck a car parked on the 200 block of Second Street Northwest in Pennock, the vehicle owner reported Sunday.

Window smashed

WILLMAR — Staff reported finding a back window smashed Sunday at a business on the 1800 block of Willmar Avenue Southwest in Willmar.
