Motorcyclist seriously hurt in northern Minnesota crash

ROSEAU, Minn. -- A three-wheeled motorcycle flipped after the axle broke, leaving a Strathcona, Minn., man seriously injured near here.

Daniel Theodore Curfman, 48, sustained life-threatening injuries after his 1975 tri-sport three-wheeled motorcycle crashed at 4:39 p.m. Thursday, July 3, according to a Minnesota State Patrol news release. He was westbound on Roseau County Road 8 about 20, miles southwest of Roseau, when the vehicle’s accident broke, the release said.

After the crash, Curfman was taken to a hospital.

Curfman was not wearing a helmet, the State Patrol said.
