Raymond man died Friday in workplace accident
RAYMOND — A 31-year-old Raymond man died last week in a workplace accident.
An obituary notice and a fundraising web page to benefit his family identifies Ryan Boonstra as the man who died Friday.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office said an accident took place near the intersection of 60th Street and 150th Avenue Southwest in Holland Township where a construction company was installing tile in a field.
The Sheriff's Office in its initial news release reported the accident victim might have been pinned between heavy equipment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Boonstra's funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church and one hour prior to the service Friday.
A Go Fund Me page to benefit his wife and son was launched by the MACCRAY Class of 2008.
Assisting the Sheriff's Office at the scene were the Raymond Ambulance, Prinsburg First Responders, Willmar Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol.
