Glenwood woman injured in Douglas County crash
FORADA — A Glenwood woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash late Thursday.
Jewel Amanda Dahl, 40, of Glenwood, suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the vehicle she was driving lost control on state Highway 29 and went into the east ditch, according to the Minnesota State Patrol report. Dahl had been driving north on Highway 29 near the intersection with Douglas County Road 4.
Atwater man injured in crash near Remer
REMER — An Atwater man was injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash north of Remer in Cass County.
David John Gatzmeyer, 56, of Atwater, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban north on Highway 6 and a Ford pickup traveling south on the highway crossed the centerline and sideswiped the Suburban, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Gatzmeyer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Deer River Hospital. The driver of the pickup, James Dennis Ruyak, 84, of Remer, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.
WILLMAR — A woman reported Thursday afternoon that a man in his 30s approached her in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue Southwest and asked if he could get a clean urine sample from her for a drug test. She said she had never seen the man before and reported that he got into a black car after she refused. The woman was told to contact law enforcement if she saw the man again.
WILLMAR — The front passenger window was reportedly broken out of a vehicle in the 1400 block of Lakeland Drive Northeast. The damage was reported Thursday afternoon.
ATWATER — A woman reported that a neighbor's dog shattered a window in its home Friday morning in the 400 block of Second Street South. The woman said the dog was in the house and barking at her when it jumped up and broke the window. She asked authorities for help in contacting the owners to let them know, as the temperature was below freezing.
WILLMAR — A woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from the hallway outside her apartment door in the 1400 block of Fifth Street Southwest. The wallet contained cash, a gift card, ID, and debit and EBT cards. The theft was reported Thursday evening.
WILLMAR — A 23-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of domestic assault and fifth-degree assault. Police had been called to the 400 block of Third Street Southeast on a report of a man breaking things and pushing people around.
WILLMAR — Willmar police arrested a suspect late Thursday after receiving a report of a person brandishing a firearm in the 400 block of 15th Avenue Southwest. The initial police report indicates the suspect will be charged with burglary, attempted kidnapping, motor vehicle theft, theft, damage to property, violation of an order for protection and multiple counts of assault.
