One hurt in Kandiyohi County crash

WILLMAR — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:55 a.m. Monday in Kandiyohi County .

Mia Joy Eide, 18, of Willmar, was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Eide was driving a 2005 Acura MDX eastbound on County Road 25. The vehicle pulled out and was struck by a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe proceeding southbound on U.S. Highway 71 and driven by Elizabeth Joan Dimler, 37, of Spicer. She was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not involved, according to the accident report.

Young bicyclist hurt in collision with vehicle

GRANITE FALLS — A juvenile male was transported by ambulance Sunday to Granite Falls Health after the bicycle he was riding apparently struck the side of a vehicle in Clarkfield.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an accident involving a vehicle and bicycle at 4:02 p.m. Sunday on 10th Street near the intersection of 11th Avenue in Clarkfield. William Weinhold Sr., of Clarkfield, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado that was pulling a trailer to the city brush site. His vehicle was struck in the side by the bicycle operated by the boy.

The Clarkfield Ambulance, Granite Falls Ambulance, and Granite Falls Police Department also responded.

Vandalism

SPICER — A large hole was created in the door of a Ford Escape parked on the 100 block of Lake Avenue South in Spice, it was reported Monday.

WILLMAR — Picnic tables were damaged in a park on the 600 block of Ninth Street Southwest in Willmar, it was discovered on Monday.

WILLMAR — A Rubbermaid shed was damaged in a break-in and children’s toys inside were broken on the 1300 block of 19th Avenue Southwest in Willmar, it was reported Monday.

WILLMAR — A resident reported that two females riding bicycles damaged a small decorative fence Sunday on the 400 block of Trott Avenue Southeast.

Graffiti

WILLMAR — Graffiti was reported Monday on a couple of buildings west of the park on the 1400 block of Seventh Street Southeast and on property on the 5300 block of Highway 71 South.
