ATWATER – The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office has identified a rural Atwater man who was injured Saturday in an ATV accident.

Tanner Krueger, 35, was injured when the ATV he was driving overturned. Friends found Krueger unconscious and lying on the shoulder of the road.

The incident was reported at 5:26 p.m. when the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an ATV rollover on 15th Avenue Southeast, about one mile east of County Road 4.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Krueger was going west on 15th Avenue Southeast on a 2013 Polaris four-wheeler when he lost control of the ATV, which overturned.

Krueger was taken by Atwater Ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar and then flown to St. Cloud Hospital by Life Link air ambulance. His condition is unknown.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Atwater Fire Department, Atwater Ambulance Service, Willmar Ambulance Service and the Minnesota State Patrol.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash, according to the news release.
