Willmar woman injured in crash near Spicer
SPICER — A Willmar woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash Monday morning near Spicer on roads that were covered with snow and ice.
According to the State Patrol, Jody Lynn Larsson, 56, was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer south on U.S. Highway 71 in Green Lake Township when the vehicle went off the road, went into the ditch, struck a road sign and rolled.
Larsson was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. She was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which was reported at 8:50 a.m. Monday.
One injured on icy roads near Hawick
HAWICK — Slick roads may have contributed to a one-vehicle accident Monday morning in Kandiyohi County that injured the driver.
The accident was reported at 7:35 a.m. on state Highway 23 at County Road 6, east of Hawick.
According to the State Patrol, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Donna Elizabeth Honer, 20, of St. Cloud, was going west on Highway 23 when the vehicle lost control on ice and rolled into the ditch.
Honer, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was taken to the Paynesville hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. She was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The Paynesville Police Department and Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
