CLARA CITY — A three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at a highway intersection in Clara City resulted in two people being injured, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the crash report, Ana Isabel Cisneros Dela Torre, 38, of Sacred Heart, and Alejandro Joel Delatorre, 23, of Renville, were transported to CCM Health in Montevideo for non-life-threatening injuries.

Delatorre was the passenger in a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Cisneros Dela Torre that was southbound on state Highway 23 when it collided with a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 pulling a camper that was eastbound on state Highway 7 in Clara City.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, Joseph John Nelson, 50, of Hutchinson, and his passengers — Conner John Nelson, 18, Daydrea Lynn Nelson, 45, a 10-year-old female juvenile and a 16-year-old male juvenile, all of Hutchinson — were not injured.

Following the initial impact, the Dodge Ram collided with a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by Elliott Philip Olsen, 29, of St. Cloud, that was northbound on Highway 23.

Olsen and his passengers, Makayla G. Olsen, 29, and a 1-year-old male juvenile, both of St. Cloud, were not injured.

All those involved were wearing their seat belts and alcohol is not listed as a factor on the crash report. Road conditions were dry.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, Clara City Police and Ambulance and Montevideo Ambulance also responded to the crash, reported at 2:58 p.m. Monday.
